The Climate Stream at this year’s Impact Investment Summit Asia Pacific, will see major investors and experts share their insights on investing to deliver climate action.  

The Climate Stream will be held on day 1 of the Summit, on Wednesday March 26, at the ICC Sydney. The stream will include the keynote panel “ Leveraging Australia’s Advantages for Climate Investing in Our Region.”

This will be followed by three panels: 

  • “Where Capital At Scale is Required To Address the Climate Crisis”
  • “Navigating the Climate Investment Landscape: From Start-up to Institutional Investment”
  • “Gender and Climate-Smart Investing Opportunities & Lessons Learnt in Asia-Pacific”

These panel discussions will be followed by a number of investor pitch presentations. 

Keynote Panel: Leveraging Australia’s Advantages for Climate Investing in Our Region

The opening keynote panel will include: 

  • Rod Sims, Chair of The Superpower Institute (as moderator)
  • Tan Kueh, CEO of Grok Ventures 
  • Zoe Whitton, Managing Director, Head of Strategy & Impact at Pollination Group 
  • Katerina Kimmorley, NSW Net Zero Commissioner 

Panel 1: Where Capital At Scale is Required To Address the Climate Crisis

This panel will include:

  • Kylie Charlton, Managing Director of Australian Impact Investments, as moderator
  • Ludovid Theau, CIO Australian Ethical Investment
  • Alex Ramsey, Co-founder and Investment Director at Infradebt

Panel 2: Navigating the Climate Investment Landscape: From Start-up to Institutional Investment

This second panel will be moderated by Xavier Keary, Partner and Head of G+T Ventures and include: 

  • Phil Morle, Partner at Main Sequence Ventures; 
  • Chris Thomas, Director at Wollemi Capital; and 
  • Tibor Schwartz, Head of Energy Innovation at HMC Capital.

Panel 3: Gender and Climate-Smart Investing Opportunities & Lessons Learnt in Asia-Pacific

The third panel, “Gender and Climate-Smart Investing Opportunities & Lessons Learnt in Asia-Pacific” will be hosted by Serena Grant, Director of Business and Human Rights at Minderoo Foundation. This panel will also feature:

  • Marijn Wiersma, Director of Business and Human Rights at 2X Global
  • Rachel Santiago-Sacre, Country Manager at Clime Capital
  • Christina Hobbs, General Manager, Impact & Advisory at Future Group.
