Brightlight has today launched Brightlight Select, a new investment suite co-designed with advisors to provide Australian investors access to a curated selection of high-quality thematic impact investment strategies.
Developed in partnership with wealth managers, family offices and institutional investors, Brightlight Select is co-creating multi-manager solutions designed to deliver robust portfolio returns alongside authentic impact outcomes.
The initiative reflects a growing demand from investors who want their portfolios to generate both financial performance and measurable social or environmental benefit.
Brightlight is a specialist impact investment advisory and consulting firm delivering purposeful solutions across impact measurement, portfolio construction, deal sourcing, due diligence and values-based strategy. Its global client base spans institutional investors, foundations, family offices, wealth advisors and not-for-profit organisations.
Unique Access to Niche Thematic Strategies
Unlike traditional funds management, Brightlight Select leverages Brightlight’s institutional research and consulting platform to curate and structure investment opportunities.
The platform enables investors to benefit from Brightlight’s rigorous due diligence and its experience in building multi-manager vehicles. It also removes common barriers to accessing specialist and foreign managers by offering efficient, scalable structures that support broader participation.
Brightlight managing director Sam Richards said, “Australian investors and their advisors want solutions that serve a role in the portfolio to deliver both attractive income and meaningful outcomes.
“Brightlight Select works with capital allocators to structure vehicles that benefit from the economies of scale that comes with the aggregation of capital through research, vehicle structure, management and currency hedging. Through our platform we can deliver investors unique access to more niche thematic strategies and specialist fund managers that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to invest in.”
Launch Strategy: Global Private Credit with a Gender Lens
The first strategy to launch under Brightlight Select is a Global Private Credit strategy focused on Financial Inclusion and Gender.
Designed primarily for endowment and foundation investors, the strategy targets a compelling annual yield while advancing gender equality (SDG 5). It aims to bridge the US$1.7 trillion gender financing gap by improving financial inclusion for women-owned, women-led and women-focused enterprises across both developed and developing markets.
This inaugural strategy showcases Brightlight’s intent to combine competitive returns with measurable, mission-aligned outcomes. Future investment strategies are being planned to provide investors with exposure to opportunities across climate solutions, First Nations initiatives, and the circular economy.
Brightlight currently advises on A$3.5 billion in assets directed into high-impact and ethically screened investments. Its 20-member team blends deep experience across impact investing, institutional asset management, and the for-purpose sector.
