Humanitix describes itself as an experiment in compassionate capitalism. With a simple model for giving away the booking fees on all tickets sold, it has been able to take on the global ticketing heavy-weights.
But more importantly, it has just announced its second major donation milestone with another $1 million donated to their charity partners. So far they’ve given away $2.5 million.
Humanitix offers ticketing services for all sorts of events, large and small. And the company was founded on the clear insight that people hate paying booking fees. Their solution, was to give them away!
They partner with charities to support social impact projects that give disadvantaged kids greater access to education and healthcare. Organisations like: Code.org, Room to Read, Yalari and Manaiakalani.
It’s a business model for doing good, and demand has been strong. To date Humanitix has supported over 75,840 events all across the globe, and sold 6,082,031 tickets – with all booking fee profits going to charity.
